About

elly-portraitFor me the 1970′s were especially rich in stories, this photo belongs to one of them, circa 1974.

Finally I can do something fun (again) with hippie artist.

In 1975 I moved to a tiny rural village, population, including me, about 100. I bought a prairie Gothic, white clapboard ex-United church. There I learned to weave, paint, write, and survive on very little cash. It was an adventure and you could say, character building.

I wrote several books, published two of them and filled dozens of journals that weighed in at over 200 pounds when I had to pack them to move.

Join me on the journey as I write a memoir of my 23 year residence in an old prairie church.

I like this, I like the saga theme and most of all I recognize the soap opera which is what my family lived all my childhood, covering up, being secret, forgetting to go forward and be adventurous. Your words hit the nail right on the head for me,
thank you!
